in 1918. On the VIP studio tour, guests first
will watch a 10-minute introduction of all
the movies and TV shows that were in production
here. Some of the TV shows include Friends,
Gilmore Girls, The Mentalist and Cold
Case. Some of the movies that are shown
are Miss Congeniality, Risky Business,
Dirty Harry and Harry Potter.
Then, visitors will get on a tram and
the tour guide takes you on the lot. There
is a street called Anytown U.S.A., which is
used for several different shows.

months ago in early September. This
year, we had a total of 97 votes,

Registration opens for the Kids Run and 5K Walk/Run
at Roosevelt Park at foot of Old Central Depot.
Each participant receives a beautiful kelly
green commemorative technical fabric shirt.
Kids Run begins at 11:30 a.m. and the 5K Walk/Run
begins at Noon. Costs: Before March 13 –
$25 (5K), and $13 Kids Run; Race Day –
$30 (5K), and $15 (Kids Run).
52nd Annual Detroit St. Patrick’s
Day Parade – 2 p.m.
The Parade assembles at corner of Michigan Avenue
and 6th Street and moves west along Michigan
Ave. The Parade includes marching and pipe &
drum bands, color guard units, floats, clowns,
and novelty groups.
