The
Japanese American National Museum opened its doors in 1992. The
museum is located in the Little Tokyo area near downtown Los Angeles,
California. It is devoted to preserving the history and culture
of Japanese Americans.

Little
Tokyo, also known as Little Tokyo Historic District, is an ethnic
Japanese American district in downtown Los Angeles and one of only
three official Japantowns in the United States.

Founded
around the beginning of the 20th century, the area, sometimes called
Lil' Tokyo, J-Town, is the cultural center for Japanese Americans
in Southern California. It was declared a National Historic Landmark
District in 1995.

Los
Angeles City Hall, completed 1928, is the tallest base isolated
structure in the world. It is the center of the government of the
city of Los Angeles, California. It houses the mayor's office as
well as the meeting chambers of the Los Angeles City Council.
