to see George Clinton in concert on September

George
Clinton (born July 22, 1940) is an American musician
and the principal architect of P-Funk. He was
the mastermind of the bands Parliament and Funkadelic
during the 1970s and early 1980s, and was a solo
funk artist as of 1981. He has been hailed as
"The Prime Minister of Funk" as the
leader of Parliament, as well as "The King
of Interplanetary Funksmanship".
Parliament-Funkadelic
is a Funk music collective headed by George Clinton
, that specialized in the style of music known
as P Funk and performed under the names Parliament
and Funkadelic (two bands comprised of the same
members, recording for different labels), but
also in a score of offshoot groups and solo ventures.
Recording under myriad names, this group had thirteen
Top Ten hits in the U.S. R&B music charts
between 1967 and 1983, including six number one
hits in the R&B Charts. They were elected
into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997.
George
Clinton will play the Royal Oak Music Theatre
on September 16, 2007. Doors open at 7:00 p.m.
and the show begins at 8:00 p.m. The concert is
great for all ages. Reserved seating tickets are
$50.00. General admission standing tickets are
$29.50 in advance and $32.00 at the door.

One
