DETROIT -- Back by popular demand, Blue Man Group returns to Detroit's Fisher Theatre from April 21-26, 2015.

Three bald and blue guys create a kaleidoscope spray of airborne paint while beating on drums. What I thought was interesting was, this was an interactive show which picks a person out of the audience, dresses him in a one-piece painters jumpsuit, then paints him with blue paint from head to toe, then hangs him upside down and swings him onto a canvas. I know it sounds silly, and even more hard to explain. Can you picture this? You just have to see it for yourself.

Another act was catching flying colored gum balls and spewing them on canvas to create a picture. They look at things in a unique way and express themselves in an even more unique way. A live band, whose tribal rhythms help drive the show to its climax, accompanies the Blue Man Group.

There is new sound, set and video design centering around a huge LED curtain and high-resolution screen which creates an entirely new high-impact visual experience.

Blue Man Group has performed on five continents and has been seen by more than 25 million people around the world. Over the years, the Blue men have made countless television appearances on such shows as "Ellen," "Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "Celebrity Apprentice," among others.

Another thing I thought was interesting was the Blue men did not speak a word throughout the entire 90-minute performance. There is no intermission. I would highly recommend this show as it is different and will totally entertain you.

Strobe lights and other atmospheric effects were used during the show.. Paint and other non-toxic materials may reach some members of the audience which is why the first two rows of guests were wearing rain ponchos.

Performance times for Blue Man Group are: Tuesday through Saturday evening at 8 p.m., Sunday evening performance at 6:30 p.m., Saturday matinee at 2 p.m. and Sunday matinee at 1 p.m. Tickets range from $29 - $89 (includes parking and facility fees) and can be purchased at all Ticketmaster locations, by phone at 800-982-2787, online at ticketmaster.com or broadwayindetroit.com.
