Bone Heads Bar-B-Que Food and Spirits

On New Years Eve, we drove down to Willis, Michigan near Belleville to try Bone Heads Bar-B-Que.

This restaurant is a family place with very nice decor. One half of the place was the bar area and the other was the restaurant. We arrived after 5 p.m. and from 6 to 9 p.m., there was entertainment in the restaurant area.

The menu consisted of appetizers, soups and salads, burgers and sandwiches, BBQ ribs, chicken and pulled pork and other main entrees. They also serve beer-battered walleye, north atlantic wild salmon, beer-battered alaskan cod, jumbo butterflied shrimp, hawaiian chicken, fettucini alfredo and their famous homemade macaroni and cheese.

I ordered the filet cut sirloin. It was a thick piece of meat like a filet mignon, which was cooked to my perfection. With that, came a choice of potato, or you can choose a variety of nine different sides. I also had the Hunters Soup, which was the best cream soup I have ever had. It reminds me of a cream of broccoli soup with potatoes in it.

My guests had the pulled pork dinner, which included cole slaw, cornbread and a choice of side. They also enjoyed their meal. One of my guests said the homemade macaroni and cheese is excellent.

The prices seem average. For example, the burgers and sandwiches run from $7.99-$8.99. The whole slab of ribs, which are seasoned and pit-smoked over a blend of hickory and fruit woods are $19.99, half is $14.99. The main entrees run from $8.99 to $17.99.

I was extremely happy with their friendly service and wonderful atmosphere. I would definitely go back and highly recommend the place.

Take I-94 west to Rawsonville Road, drive south four miles to Willis Road, make a right, then drive 0.8 miles and you will see this sign in front of the restaurant.
