"Cheaper by the Dozen 2"
Steve Martin.
Bonnie Hunt. Piper Perabo. Eugene Levy. Hilary Duff. (Comedy)
This is the second movie
in the series. It is about a family of twelve and all of it's experiences.
You see Hilary Duff graduating from high school in the beginning.
Later, there is a feud between two rival families. You get to see
both families try to out-do each other.
Steve Martin (Tom Baker)
and Bonnie Hunt (Kate Baker) have 12 children. Whenever you have
twelve children, you know there is bound to be madness. That's exactly
what you find in this comedy. The family decides to spend the weekend
at a house on a lake. Everyone wants to do something different.
Their house is small and its needs a lot of work done to it.
The kids notice a nice
house across the water. It is the home of the competitive Murtaugh's.
Their house is filled with the latest gear including high speed
internet, plasma TV's and more. They even have a nice waterslide
that leads to the lake. The Baker kids are very jealous of them.
They want to spend more time with the Murtaugh's than their own
mom and dad.
One of the Baker girls
has a crush on one of the Murtaugh boys. He had asked her out to
a movie. Both dads ended up going to the same movie to watch what
their kids were doing. It was a bad move on both fathers part.
Both families are put
to the test with the camp contests. There was an egg-toss battle,
three-legged race, volleyball and other field events. During the
last competition between the families, one of the Bakers were pregnant.
Her water leaked and they decided to stop the race.
The Baker's and the Murtaugh's
came together. They decided to forget the silly feud and rush her
to the nearest hospital. This movie describes the unity that is
needed within a family.
I think this was a good
movie. I believe it was better than the first movie in the series.
If you are a Hilary Duff fan, I recommend it for you. You get to
see more of her in this film than in the last one. There are a lot
of famous people in this movie which makes it interesting. You can
see Carmen Electra, Jaime King and Tom Welling in addition to the
main cast.
This movie is based off
the book by Frank B. Gilbreth and Ernestine Gilbreth Carey titled
"Cheaper by the Dozen." It was published in 2002. At the
end of the movie, they show outtakes. Those are very funny.

Point of View on "Cheaper by the Dozen 2"
If you
enjoyed Steven Martin's "Cheaper by the Dozen", then you're
sure to enjoy "Cheaper by the Dozen 2". In this funny
comedy, the Baker family takes a camping trip to Lake Winnetka.
Lorraine and Charlie have graduated from high school and Nora is
married and expecting a baby.
The trip
starts out just fine, until they are invited to a party and meets
up with Tom's old rival, Jimmy Maruagh. The two start of as if they
are just regular old friends, then their kids start acting up. This
brings up the yearly competition held at the lake on labor day weekend.
When they
both agree to compete, they start a training camp for the kids.
On game day both families tie. While in the middle of the tie breaker,
Nora goes into labor, and ends up getting rushed to the ER. Both
families are there awaiting for the new exciting delivery.
Steven Martin
star, along with Bonnie Hunt, Piper Perabo, Eugene Levy, and Hilary
Duff. I really enjoyed this movie. It was definately worth the $7
and I encourage you all to go out and see it. There are expected
and unexpected scenes that make this film enjoyable.
