Cheli's Chili Bar and Restaurant

The downtown Cheli's Restaurant is an interesting place. It has three floors
of restaurant space. There are pictures of downtown Detroit on the walls,
such as the Boblo Boat, the Kern's Block clock, Tiger Stadium and much more.
The atmosphere is a pub-like setting.

The menu has a selection of burgers and sandwiches with daily specials of
dinner entrees. I ordered a turkey burger with Swiss Cheese, which was
excellent. You had a choice of fries or cole slaw with each selection.
They also had pulled pork sandwiches and sloppy joes.

The prices were reasonable, my turkey burger was $6.75 with an added 50 cents
for the cheese. The sandwiches ranged in the six and seven dollar range. I can
see why this restaurant is so popular for before the ballgame. It is
right across the street from Comerica Park.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The food is great, the
atmosphere is fantastic and the wait staff is very friendly and patient.
