LIVONIA, Mich. -- We stopped by the new Dave & Buster's in Livonia today and we finally got in. The last time we tried was on a Friday night, and trying to find a parking spot gave us the hint that it was overly crowded. There was a two-hour wait that night. So we left and tried again the following Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. On that day, the games were half-off all day from open to close. I must say I was in awe at the size of this place. It is so huge and loaded with games. We wanted a quiet place to eat and we found that off to the back of the place. Even the seating area was huge. I was told there are 250 employees at this location alone. Wow!

The place claims it is the most fun you can have under one roof and I believe it. The tickets for the game goes for $10 for 48 tickets loaded on a card. The games require two to eight tickets per game. There are hundreds of arcade games and hundreds of prizes. You can cash in your tickets at the Winner's Circle for a prize.

Now speaking of food and drinks, they have a happy hour drinks special for half-off cocktails from 4:30 p.m. til 7:00 p.m. and a late night happy hour on Sunday through Thursday from 10 p.m. til close. They offer mixed drinks such as margaritas, mojitos and sangrias. Also they serve beer on tap and in a bottle along with wine and signature cocktails.

The appetizers offered are potato skins, spinach dip and chips, soft pretzel bites, pretzel dogs among others. The prices run from $5.49 to $9.99. Soups include chicken tortilla and broccoli cheddar which run $3.99 per cup.

Entrees include black jack bbq chicken for $13.79, grilled salmon for $14.99, shrimp platter for $13.89, steak & shrimp with lobster alfredo for $16.79, New York strip steak for $19.99 just to name a few.

Pasta dishes include cajun shrimp alfredo for $13.99 or macaroni and cheese with seasoned chicken breast for $12.59.

Of course, there are burgers such as the South Philly burger which is a half-pound seared and seasoned burger topped with thinly sliced steak from South Philly and grilled to perfection for $11.99. They also have the BLT turkey burger for $9.89 or the gardenburger for $8.99, among others. All burgers includes seasoned french fries, lettuce, tomato, onions and pickles.

There are also sandwiches such as the boss chicken club which is grilled chicken breast, applewood smoked bacon, creamy garlic-herb cheese, lettuce, tomato, avocado spread and frazzled onions on a toasted whole wheat bun with secret sauce. The cost if $9.99. Another choice is the roasted turkey avocado BLT for $9.29 and the Philly Cheesesteak for $10.29.

They also serve ribs, salads and a variety of sides from loaded mashed potatoes, sautéed spinach, guacamole, citrus rice, fresh seasonal vegetables and spicy rice medley. The sides run from $2.39 to $5.79 extra.

The desserts look fabulous. They include Belgian chocolate fondue with strawberries and banana chunks, marshmallows and cubes of cakes and brownies for $8.99, New York cheesecake for $5.99 and bananas foster pie which is chilled banana pudding and vanilla sponge cake layered in a cinnamon-graham pastry with rum sauce and warm caramel for $6.99. Wow these sound delicious.

The atmosphere was loud in the bar and game area. However, we sat in the quiet section of the restaurant which is located in the back. We ordered the potato skins to start with and a cheeseburger. The food was great and we had a pleasant experience.
