Zach
Galifianakis and Robert Downey Jr. in Warner Bros. Pictures'
Due Date - 2010
|
The movie is about
a high-strung man named Peter Highman (Robert Downey Jr.) who
is in Atlanta trying to get home to his wife who is having a baby.
On the plane, another
man named Ethan Tremblay (Zach Galifianakis) is trying to
put his carry-on luggage in the overhead bin above Peter, bumps
into him with
his hairy stomach and starts a conversation about terrorists and
bombs. The
flight attendants overhear this and the air marshall shoots Peter
with rubber
bullets. After they both are mistaken for terrorists, they are
kicked off the
plane.
Peter loses his wallet
and his luggage mistakenly is on its way to Kansas City.
Ethan rents a car and sees Peter wandering and offers him a ride
to Los
Angeles. Ethan is going to Hollywood to become an actor.
On the cross country
trip, they encounter many disastrous situations and he gets
on Peter's last nerve.
Juliette Lewis has
a very small part in this film as a medical marijuana dealer.
So they stop to get some since Ethan has glaucoma. He spends most
of his money
there and is left with $60 for the rest of the trip. They end
up sleeping in
their car at a rest stop.
The next day Ethan
drives into Mexico which he thought the sign said Texaco. He
also falls asleep while driving and produces horrific results.
The whole movie was
chaotic and was similar to Planes, Trains and Automobiles
with John Candy. It was very funny, none the less. So did they
make it to
L.A.? you'll have to see for yourself. I would recommend this
movie if you
want some good laughs.
