El Zocalo Mexican Restaurant
During the Cinco
de Mayo weekend this year, my guest and I decided to go to
Mexicantown. We stopped at El Zocalo Restaurant. We found
the atmosphere charming and it was a huge place. We were greeted
as we came in and seated right away, even though every seat
was pretty much taken. Immediately they brought the chips
and salsa.
We ordered the
beef taco dinner. It came with three tacos along with refried
beans, rice, lettuce and tomatoes. The food was great. We
also ordered raspberry margaritas which quenched our thirst.
The prices were
reasonable. The dinner was $6.95 and with Mexican food, you
get a huge plateful. The menu had quite a variety of selections
to fit every palate.
The waiter was
friendly and the service was excellent. I would
definitely recommend this place. So next time your in Mexicantown,
give
it a try. You'll be glad you did.
