Celebrity home makeover show
'Hollywood Residential' is mediocre

I had the chance to view
two episodes of the Starz movie channel's new original series "Hollywood
Residential." The show follows a fictional, celebrity home
makeover theme on a fledging home improvement cable network.
Tony King (Adam Paul)
is a frustrated, under-achieving actor and carpenter who works with
his sexy new co-host, Lila Mann (Lindsey Stoddart). The producers
take their show to the homes of Hollywood celebrities. However,
Tony tries to take advantage of his guest starts to further his
own stalling acting career that generally leads to terrible embarassing
situations.
"Hollywood Residential"
features makeovers at the homes of Paula Abdul, Tom Arnold, John
Cho, Carmen Electra, Chris Kattan, Jamie Kennedy and Cheryl Hines.
First, I viewed episode
three called "Dominion Day." The show visits Carmen Electra's
house to build her a new bathroom. Tony King (Adam Paul) causes
an on-set accidental death that causes his co-host's agent to make
up a plan that's not good news for the show's host.
Then, I viewed episode
four titled "Sauna." The day starts off uneasy for the
show's host when he discivers that the celebrity guest, Jamie Kennedy,
is dating his ex-wife. King takes revenge out on Jamie's house,
but suffers some consequences himself.
Overall the shows were
funny, but it contains some sexual content and a large amount of
infanities. I thought some scenes were humorous and well constructed
but I wasn't too impressed.
