Rodney Atkins "Honesty"

Rodney Atkins'
latest album is called "Honesty" and it was released in
2003. He performed at the Budweiser Downtown Hoedown in May 2004.
Atkins was
born in Knoxville, TN. During high school, he played at county fairs,
festivals and shopping malls. Atkins got a degree in psychology
then he headed to Nashville. In the Music City, he wrote songs and
sang at bars and clubs.
Song number
two is called "What's Left Of Me." It's definitely going
to be a hit for him. I can't wait for it to hit the radio. The lyrics
are: What’s left of me, it’s a mystery. You were
so devastatingly beautiful while I was brilliantly naïve.
Track
five is also a good one. It's named "The Love We Make."
It's about a couple that's deeply in love and that is dedicated
to each other. The lyrics read: And I will hold you while you're
sleeping. And I will be there when you wake. And we can fill the
seven seas. With all the love we make.
In
this album, Rodney Atkins sounds a lot like Tim McGraw. Their voices
are just the same. Both of them are great artists out of Nashville
on the same record label.
There
is a total of 13 songs on this album including the hit self-title
"Honesty." Other songs on the album include "Monkey
in the Middle," "Someone to Share With," "The
Man I Am Today," "Uncomplicated," "Sing Along,"
"Yeah She Does," "I Will Come To You," "Forgiveness
and Permission" and "My Old Man."
I
think this album has a lot of good songs on it. I did some searching
and I can't seem to find any news on Rodney Atkins. I have no idea
what he's been up to. He's not touring right now. His latest album
is from two years ago.
Special
thanks goes out to Curb Records for providing this album for us
to review and give away in a contest on AmericaJR.com.
