Hope's Fish and Chips Restaurant
I went to Hope's
Fish & Chips last Friday which is located at 28370 Joy
Road in Livonia. That is between Inkster & Middlebelt.
This restaurant
opened in 1939. Apparently this is one of Livonia's
landmarks. We were seated in a booth, and they also have a
corridor for
a line for take-outs. It has dark wood decor with lots of
seating.
Hope's is a family restaurant.
I ordered the fish
(cod) and chips, but i chose the baked potato instead
of fries. The meal came with cole slaw and a roll. You get
3 rather
large pieces of cod. You can have it fried, broiled or baked.
There
were several selections of different kinds of fish. On the
table, there
is malt vinegar and ketchup for your meal. The fish dinner
that i ordered
was $9.19 and the menu prices were about in that range.
The service was
very friendly and fast. It was the first time I ate
there, so they were especially helpful explaining the menu.
My waitress
kept checking back to make sure I was doing ok.
The restaurant
only accepts cash. They do not accept credit cards or
debit. You might want to stop at the ATM or the bank before
you come.
I had a good experience
there and the food was delicious. I would
definitely recommend for you eat here.
