This movie
was about a soccer team that was in last place with no coach. Phil
(Will Ferrell) volunteered to be their coach, since his sone has
being benched too much.
The clamity
of teaching these untalented kids was funny. They decided to english
2 Italian players who were very good at playing. The object was
to deliver the ball to the Italians and they would score.
Phil acted
very childlike during the beginning of this movie. He ended up making
one of the parents run a lap around the soccer field. Then, he gave
all of the players finches as a gift. It didn't end up helping in
the long run.
There was
also a big feud going on with Phil and his dad (Robert Duvall).
Phil wanted to be better than his dad so much so he would get this
ball. There was also a fued with the neighbor over leaves flying
over the fence.
The team
eventually moved up in the ranks with one more win to go for the
championship. Phil realized they were playing unfair. Mike Ditka
ended up being an assistance coach for Phil's team.
He benched
the Italians and decided to play for fun. He also gave his son some
time on the field which was much needed. You will have to see the
movie to determine if they ended up winning the championship or
not.
