Letters to Juliet
is a story about a girl, Sophie, played by Amanda Seyfried, who
works for the New Yorker magazine as a fact checker.
She goes to Verona,
Italy, a city where Romeo & Juliet were from, and sees letters
to Juliet posted on a brick wall. One day there was a woman taking
down the letters and Sophie follows her to this office with a
bunch of ladies who answers each and every letter. She eventually
joins the group.
The film also stars
Vanessa Redgrave, Gael Garcia Bernal, Franco Nero and Chris Egan.
It was distributed by Summit Entertainment. Letters to Juliet
is rated PG for brief rude behavior, some language and incidental
smoking. It was shot in Bryant Park in New York City, Siena in
Italy, Soave in Italy and Verona in Italy.
So the next day she
helps take down the letters and a brick falls on the ground. Inside
and hidden was a letter written in 1957 from a British woman,
Claire, played by Vanessa Redgrave, asking that she lost the man
she loved from when she was 15 years old and what should she do?
Sophie writes her back
and inspires her to come to Italy to search for her one true love.
They travel the Italian countryside going to every person's house
that was named Lorenzo Bartelini. They tried and tried but with
no luck. As they were driving to the airport to go home, Claire
passes a vineyard and winery and asks to stop for a good bye toast.
Lo and behold there
was Lorenzo. What happens after that, you will have to see the
movie.
Amanda Seyfried is
the actress that played in the movie Dear John, so if
you liked that one, you will love this one. This is truly the
best love story ever told.
I liked the movie and
would recommend it.
