Louie's Ham & Corned Beef Restaurant

Eastern Market is bustling with people on a Saturday. For lunch we stopped at Louie's Ham and Corned Beef, located at 3570 Riopelle, near Eastern Market. First, I ordered the homemade pea soup, it was nice and thick loaded with carrots and ham. It was spectacular. Then, I ordered the Louie's Delight, which includes corned beef, russian dressing, cole slaw and melted swiss cheese. It is probably the best corned beef I have ever had. The meat was nice and lean with no fat or grizzle. The sandwich was on rye bread and included a pickle.

The price of this sandwich was $6.95. The prices on the menu were very reasonable overall. They also serve breakfast as they are open at 6 a.m Monday thru Saturday and Sunday at 8 a.m.

The hostess waited on us right away and took our name. There was a 15-minute wait as we were there at 1 p.m. As we were finally seated, the waitress was very friendly and informative as this was the first time we were there.

The outside of the building looks brand new and the inside decor is very clean and updated with lots of seating.

I had the most enjoyable experience and would definitely recommend this restaurant. Next time stop in before or after you shop at Eastern Market. You
will be glad you did.
