DETROIT -- Nora Ephron and her sister, Delia, wrote this play about wardrobe. I know it sounds hard to believe. It is like their life story through their clothes.

There are five women on stage, each telling their stories about what they wore to memorable events in their lives. The Detroit cast include Loretta Swit, Emily Dorsch, Daisy Eagan, Sonia Manzano and Myra Lucretia Taylor. Each woman goes through all stages of their lives and also talking about their mother and what she said about their clothes choice for that era. Some phrases you may recall from your own life. "Never wear white before Memorial Day--Never wear white after Labor Day--Just never wear white," one woman said.

Listening to their hilarious stories from their first bra to their Prom dress, to their cluttered purses to their stories about wearing black.
The play caters to the female audience, however, several men came along.

Love, Loss and What I Wore is at the Gem Theatre located at 333 Madison Ave, Detroit, from February 8 through March 4, 2012. Tickets are $49.50 for all seats and all performances.

Nora Ephron is a playwright, journalist, novelist, screenwriter and director. Her credits include When Harry met Sally, You've Got Mail, Sleepless in Seattle and Julie and Julia. Delia Ephron is an author, playwright and screenwriter. Her credits include The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Michael, This is my Life and Hanging Up.

Ladies, for an evening of enjoyment and laughs which will also bring back some memories, this is the play for you.
