Lawrence Presents 1st Amendment Stand-up"
If you
have Starz, or know someone you can ingratiate upon tonight, Wednesday,
July 9th, at 10 p.m. who has Starz on their teevy, you are in for
a treat. Martin Lawrence presents a slew of young, talented comics
and you will enjoy their jokes, if you don't mind a few swear words,
some sexual content, and some racial jokes.
Bruce Bruce
is an African-American comic who draws a
few funny distinctions between blacks and whites, like
how each group responds when their credit card is
denied. He is the best of the best, but please, do
not let your kids watch it and think, "It will be
okay." It will not be okay at all. Trust me.
Martin Lawrence
does not himself do any jokes. He is
up in the rafters, and seen laughing uproariously from
time to time. It is an hour well-spent. I felt
better afterwards. We live in such a serious time.
It is a
gift that there are people who can make us laugh, and we need to
support them by watching them and letting the Nielson people know
that they are helping to sell corporate wares to we the Masses.
So please, ask around and find a co-worker who has Starz if you
don't, buy a six-pack and knock on their door at 9:55 p.m.
They won't
mind at all. Trust me.
