"Memoirs of a Geisha"

Chiyo (Suzuka Ohgo) is
a young girl who is torn from her family with her sister. She is
sold to the Geisha house and her sister is sold to the pleasure
house. Chiyo betrays her geisha house and is only allowed at the
school as a servant.
Her life changes when
she meets a gentleman in the town, as she awaits for her mother
in the geisha school. For the first time she sees what a real geisha
is and runs off to the temple. She prays that one day she will meet
the gentleman again and to be a geisha one day.
When Chiyo becomes 15
she sees the gentleman again and later discovers that she is wanted
to train to become a geisha. She grows excited as she trains to
become something in which takes many years to become in only thirty
days. She then discovers that she is also competing for control
or ruler of the geisha house of which she is from. In training she
becomes known as Sayuri (Ziyi Zhang).
Sayuri later on becomes
one of the best and well known geisha's of the town. Finally she
is rewarded with the one thing she had strived to retrieve from
the beginning. This film is awesome. Very well filmed. It deserves
it's attention.
