The movie begins at Camp David where President Asher (Aaron Eckhart) is practicing his boxing skills. As the First Family leaves in their motorcade during a winter storm, the motorcade is involved in a car accident leaving it dangling over a bridge. The car then falls in the river with the First Lady (Ashley Judd) in it.

Eighteen months later, Mike Banning (played by Gerard Butler), an ex-Secret Agent springs into action when North Korean terrorists plan a highly-coordinated takeover of the White House and holds the President and his cabinet hostage. Banning is the only guy who can get into the bunker where the President is held and try to get him out.

Since the President and Vice President were hostages, Morgan Freeman (Speaker of the House) became acting President. Angela Bassett plays head of the Secret Service and while in the briefing room, they have to decide what to do before the terrorists let loose nuclear bombs throughout the United States and annihilate over 36 million people across America.

The President's son (Finley Jacobson) is also in the White House hiding and Banning must find him before the terrorists do. What else can happen?

Tough guy Mike Banning has some funny quips during the movie. The siege involves lots of violence, bombs, gunfire and plenty of action. There was so much action, I don't believe it! Seeing the monuments destroyed, the flag tattered and the White House being shot up and bombed is really terrifying.

Directed by Antointe Fuqua ("Training Day"), this is definitely a movie not to be missed. A must see. I would recommend it highly.

Look for "Olympus Has Fallen" in theaters nationwide.

OVERALL RATING: A+
