Parade Company unveiled Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan’s
new float, “Get Fit,” to a large crowd of parade supporters
this morning at the 11th Annual VIP Pancake Breakfast presented
by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. The new float will make its
debut in the 84th America’s Thanksgiving Parade on Thursday,
November 25, 2010.
The “Get Fit” float presents a number of fun and exciting
ways to get in shape and stay healthy, from kayaking to downhill
skiing, biking to even golf and tennis games. A colorful picnic
basket is also shown on the float to demonstrate a variety of healthy
eating options. The six finalists from the Biggest Loser: Detroit
Edition II, a weight-loss competition similar to NBC’s hit
TV show The Biggest Loser, will get to ride on the float and the
winner will ride atop the mountain on the highest peak of the float.
The competition is in partnership with Blue Cross Blue Shield of
Michigan, WDIV-TV and The Parade Company.
“Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan is committed to Michigan’s

of Michigan runners.
“Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan is a great partner to
