Thanksgiving Parade® is one of
this country’s largest and most spectacular parades!
Every November something magical happens on Detroit’s
Woodward Avenue, a holiday tradition dates back to 1924.
Since then, 82 celebrations of America’s Thanksgiving
Parade® have captured the imaginations
of millions of children and their families. It is the telling
of America’s story.
- On

great City of Detroit. Over the past decade, Detroit has
seen major transformations, new businesses, entertainments,
restaurants, sporting & cultural events, festivals,
and of course PARADES! Thousands of curbside spectators
and a parade filled with award-winning floats, helium filled
balloons, bands, celebrities and antique papier-mâché
heads combine to make this an event you won’t want
