Parade Company Announces Grand Marshal and Celebrities Joining America's
Thanksgiving Parade

Brooke
Hogan will ride on a float during this year's parade.
DETROIT
– The Parade Company is pleased to announce the following
celebrities will be riding on floats, touching the hearts
of children of all ages, as America's Thanksgiving Parade
travels down Woodward Avenue including:
- Brooke
Hogan, the oldest child of professional wrestler
Hulk Hogan, is a pop singer and television personality who
recently appeared on the reality-television series Hogan
Knows Best, which focused on her family on VH1 and
MTV. She currently stars in a spin-off series called Brooke
Knows Best which focuses on her life. She released
her debut album Undiscovered in 2006.
- The
Contours featuring Sylvester Potts, in honor of
Motown’s 50th Anniversary will be kicking off the
Parade with a Motown Medley.
- Brandy
- R&B pop singer/actress
- Lloyd
- R&B singer of hit songs "Get It Shawty"
and "Girls Around the World"
- Meadowlark
Lemon
- the Clown Prince of Basketball, former Harlem Globetrotter
- "Devil
With A Blue Dress On" singer - Mitch Ryder
- Nuttin
But Stringz - From NBC's reality TV show, America's
Got Talent
- Vicki
Winans
- Grammy-nominated and award winning gospel artist

The Parade Company
is pleased to announce the following Olympians will participate
as Grand Marshals for the 82nd America's Thanksgiving Parade:
- Peter
Vanderkaay
- world record holder in the 800m Free Relay, set at the
2008 Olympic Games
- Cheryl
Angelelli
- two-time silver medalist swimmer at 2008 Paralympic Games
in Beijing
- Garrett
Weber Gale
- 2008 Olympic Games gold medalist and world record holder
in the 400m Free Relay
- Lindsay
Tarpley
- member of the 2004 and 2008 Olympic Gold Medal winning
Women's Soccer team
The Grand Marshals
will ride on the Let Freedom Ring float, touching
the hearts of millions, as the Parade travels down Woodward
Avenue on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 27, 2008,
beginning at 9:20 a.m.

The Parade up close and personal from the comfort of the Grandstand
seats. Grandstand seats offer you a prime location in downtown
Detroit, with the ability to see live and up close more than
60 units of your favorite floats, balloons, marching bands,
specialty acts and celebrity guests.
Grandstand
tickets are easy to order and you can choose from three different
options:
- General
Admission seating is located at Step-off (Mack and Woodward
Avenue), Foxtown and Grand Circus Park; these tickets are
priced at $24.00 each.
- TV
Zone Grandstand seating is located in the Merchants Row
area where the lights shine as the Parade is broadcasted
live to millions. TV Zone Grandstand tickets are priced
at $28.00 each and include viewing of WDIV-TV 4's one hour
pre-show.
- VIP
Grandstand seating includes access to The Parade Company's
VIP pre-Parade breakfast locations including the Hard Rock
Cafe, Detroit Breakfast House & Grill and the Cadillac
Café inside the Detroit Opera House. VIP Grandstand
seating is located near Campus Martius and the Merchant's
Row area. VIP Grandstand tickets are priced at $48.00 each.
