"The Perfect Man"
Hilary Duff stars in
this new comedy and romance film called "The Perfect Man."
It is rated PG. Also starring in this movie are Heather Locklear,
Aria Wallace, Chris Noth and Caroline Rhea.
Holly Hamilton (the character
played by Hilary Duff) tries to help her mom Jean (Heather Locklear)
find a new man. There is another girl in this movie who is the sister
of Holly. The two daughters are being raised by the single parent.
Jean is not confident
of herself. She is desperate for a husband and is concerned with
being single. She started falling apart mentally. Jean worried about
her body image instead of personality.
The family moves to Brooklyn,
New York for a new chance at life. Holly starts going to school
and meets a boy who helps her out. She also runs in to a girl who
ends up helping her with the plan.
Holly decided to create
a perfect man for her mom. She bought some flowers and secretly
put them on the doorstep. Then, she created a love note that she
sent to Jean. Holly went to her friends house and sent emails to
Jean (as if they were from her love interest).
Jean works at a local
bakery. Caroline Rhea also works in the bakery and offers her some
advice about dating. One of the guys who works in the bakery starts
having a liking towards Jean. He takes her out to a Styx concert
which turns out to be not her cup of tea.
Holly continues her secret
admirer plan. It comes to the point where Jean wonders where is
this guy and why is he waiting so long to meet her. Holly keeps
pushing her mom to like the perfect man instead of the bakery dude.
Holly asks one of her
friends Uncle Ben (played by Chris Noth) to pose for a picture.
She used that picture and called it the perfect man. Then, she asked
Uncle Ben to meet Holly under the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City.
Uncle Ben decides not
to meet Jean. Holly admits to Jean that she made up the whole Ben
thing. At the end, Ben finally meets Holly and you will have to
see the movie to find out what happens next.
I really enjoyed this
movie. Number one, my favorite singer was in it. Secondly, there
was lots of stars in the movie that I know. Including Caroline Rhea,
and the guy from Yes, Dear.
I would recommend that
you see the movie. It's hit for the whole family. It's not just
a chick flick.
