"Poseidon"
Action / Adventure.

This is a movie about
a ship on a New Years Eve voyage. As the guests
gather in the Ballroom with music and dancing, the band plays Auld
Lang
Syne as they toast in the new year. All of a sudden the ship's captain
notices a 150 foot high wave coming right at them. They try to steer
the
boat out of the way of the wave to no avail. The ship tips over
as
passengers fall to their death, windows shatter and furniture is
flying
around.
A passenger named Dylan
(Josh Lucas) wants to save himself alone but a
child asks if he and his mother can come along. Also Kurt Russell
and his
daughter & boyfriend and Richard Dreyfus choose to go too. The
daughter
was trying to tell her father that she just got engaged when the
disaster
strikes. They found a worker who knows the ship from top to bottom
to
help them with the layout of the ship.
They form a group and
climb through tunnels and the ships decks to try to
get to the top with the help of the worker. They climb through an
elevator shaft and two people are left dangling and they decide
they can
only save one person, so he shook his leg & let the worker fall
down the
shaft. then the elevator beams came down on him.
The movie kept you on
the edge of your seat as the water kept filling the
ship as they raced to get to the top. Their next challenge was to
turn
off the propellers so they can climb through to safety. The ship
eventually fell into the sea.
