"Rambo"
Action/Adventure,
Thriller and Sequel. Rated R.
"Live for nothing
or die for something" - John Rambo
Before there was the Terminator, there was John Rambo, the original
fighting killing machine.
Actor/Writer/Director Sylvester Stallone brings this larger-than-life
character out of hiding in the fourth installment of the Vietnam
vet entitled Rambo. Twenty years after resucing his former
commanding officer and friend, Colonel Trautman, in Afghanistan,
Rambo now lives in peace in Thaliand working as a boatman. When
a group of Christian missionaries are being held hostage by rebels
in Burma, he must once again release his inner soldier within
him, taking no prisoners and showing no mercy to his enemies.
Little over 25 years since First Blood, John Rambo has
been a controversial yet compelling character. While some criticized
him for using excessive violence throughout the film series, many
has called him both a hero and the ulimate warrior. John Rambo
is an outsider, continuing to find his place in the world without
bloodshed and violence: a reluctant hero forced to use what means
necessary to get the job done. He is a tragic loner because everyone
he knew and loved is gone -- except what he knows to survive.
However, John Rambo is a true patriot willing to defend his country
called the United States of America -- and even die for it. What
he wants is every other soldier who has risked their lives wants
is for this country to love them as much as THEY
love it.
Stallone takes action again as Rambo, coming in theatres January
25.
