Rachel (Ginnifer Goodwin)
a prominent attorney in Manhattan becomes the maid of honor in
her best friend's wedding. Darcy, played by Kate Hudson is engaged
to Dex (Colin Egglesfield), another attorney. Dex reminds me of
a young Tom Cruise.
Darcy throws Rachel
a surprise 30th birthday party. Rachel turned 30 and is still
unhappily single. During the party, Rachel gets drunk and admits
to Dex
that she had a crush on him since law school. He is shocked and
admits to her that he always liked her too. The next thing you
know they are in bed together.
They both feel guilty
as time progresses and has to hide the fact of their impending
feelings for each other. Rachel confides in Ethan (played by John
Krasinski) and reveals maybe too much. Both Rachel and Dex eventually
have to make a choice between their heart and their conscience.
Events go spiraling
out of control as they all go the South Hampton as much as they
can during the summer. Darcy suspects something is wrong, but
cannot pinpoint it.
As the wedding draws
near, their lifelong friendship hits some snags.
The film was directed
by Luke Greenfield and was distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.
Ellen H. Schwartz, Hilary Swank and Molly Smith served as producers.
I enjoyed the movie
and it was better than i thought it would be.
