This movie is about
a decorated soldier Captain Colter Stevens, played by Jake
Gyllenhaal, who wakes up as an unknown man and discovers that
his mission is to
find the bomb and bomber on a train headed for downtown Chicago.
Stevens wakes
up inside a cold, metallic chamber and finds that he is part of
a government
experiment called the Source Code, which is a program that enables
a person to
cross over into another person's body in the last eight minutes
of their life.
This is a thriller
with a little bit of science fiction thrown in. Christina, played
by Michelle Monaghan, is his love interest in the film and thus
tries to find a way to save her life from the blown up train.
Carol Goodwin, played by Vera Farmiga, who by the way played George
Clooney's love interest in Up in the Air is Stevens'
contact and encourages him to figure this out.
Source Code
also stars Michelle Monaghan, Jeffrey Wright and Michael Arden.
It is rated PG-13 for some violence including disturbing images,
and for language. The film was released by Summit Entertainment,
LLC. Scenes were shot in Chicago and in Montréal, Québec,
Canada.
It is a hard movie
to figure out since there is drama and mystery about it, and
it keeps replaying his last eight minutes of his life several
times during the
movie.
I was disappointed
in the movie myself and therefore, do not recommend this one.
