The War of Good versus Evil
is inside Spider-Man 3
He has learn that with
great power comes greater responsibility. Now, he soon learns
that the greatest battle comes within.
Tobey Maguire returns as the conflicted and classic reluctant
hero in Spider-Man 3, as he faces more than one enemy,
including himself.
Things are looking great for the crime-fighting webslinger as
he basks in the praise and glory of being New York's friendly
neighborhood, web-crawling protector. Finally with Mary Jane Watson
(Kirsten Dunst) the woman he loves, Peter Parker is plan on popping
THE question. But that will have to wait when the police told
him and his Aunt May that Flint Marko (Thomas Haden Church), an
escaped criminal, is the man who truly murdered beloved Uncle
Ben. So, grief-stricken Peter comes on a mission of revenge against
Marko, who will become Sandman.
But our hero goes from one battle to the next, as he takes on
former friend now enemy Harry Osborn (James Franco), the new Goblin
who blames Peter/Spider-Man for his father's death. Next, we have
Eddie Brock (Topher Grace), the newest photojournalist of the
Daily Bugle and the complete opposite of Peter and Spider-Man,
who will become Venom.
But the biggest battle lies within Peter, as an alien organism
alters more than his Spider suit. It completely alters his personality
at the risk of losing everything he stands for and everyone he
loves, including Mary Jane. Now, he must wage war against himself
in hopes finding his way again and set things right.
What makes the Spider-Man movies (and possible trilogy) is that
there's always a major story arc in the movie. The first is about
the birth of an hero; the second is about the choices he must
make and the sacrifices that goes along with it. This latest installment
shows that we're capable of doing good, but we're also capable
of doing evil because of the choices we make and the live we lead.
Another is that we're flawed and human, and things are never black-and-white
for all of us. And that is what director Sam Raimi set out to
do in Spider-Man 3.
The number-one movie in America and possibly the world right now,
it has earn rave reviews and has taken in over $600 million worldwide.
A story of forgiveness, revenge, justice, love, and finding yourself
again, Spider-Man 3 is out in theatres.
