This is a sequel of
the original "Taken" movie from 2008.
Liam Neeson returns
as Bryan Mills, the retired CIA agent who rescued his daughter
in Paris from a bunch of kidnappers. Bryan is an over-protective
father, who in the first movie, was reluctant to allow his daughter,
Kim (Maggie Grace) to go to Paris with her girlfriend. But his
ex-wife insisted she go and have fun and told him to loosen his
pursestrings with his daughter.
So he let her go. She
eventually got kidnapped. They dug her up and auctioned her body
in a prostitution ring. Bryan used his special skills as a CIA
agent to find and rescue her, but kills several of her Albanian
kidnappers in the process.
This is where the sequel
begins. Bryan invites his ex-wife, Lenore (Famke Janssen) and
Kim to go to Istanbul, Turkey for a four-day job there. The Albanian
father of one of the kidnappers seeks revenge. Knowing that Bryan
is in Turkey, he hunts him down and takes Bryan and his ex-wife
hostage. Bryan enlists Kim to help him escape.
The movie lasts one
hour and thirty minutes and is directed by Olivier Megaton from
"Transporter 3." Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen wrote
the screenplay. It was produced by Luc Besson, Diloy Gülün
and Michael Mandaville. It is rated PG-13 for intense sequences
of violence and action, and some sensuality.
Another action movie
with twists and turns, car chases, strategic planning on Bryan's
part is well worth seeing. I love this movie and would recommend
it. Believe me, you won't fall asleep on this one.
