Kenny Chesney "The Road
and the Radio"

Kenny Chesney's
new album is called "The Road and the Radio." Last year's
Entertainer of the Year is out with a new record just in time for
the holidays.
The album
includes 11 new songs. If you buy it at Target, you will get another
disc with four new songs on it. If you buy it at Best Buy, it comes
with a 34-minute interview on a separate disc.
"The
Road and the Radio" is more Kenny Chesney than his last album.
His previous album was called "Songs from the Old Blue Chair"
and it was more laid back. This album gets back to the roots of
Kenny Chesney. It is more upbeat than the last album was.
The first
song released to the radio from this CD was "Who You'd Be Today."
In some aspects, I think it's a song that he made after splitting
up with Renee Zellwegger. Here's some of the lyics: "Sunny
days seem to hurt the most. Wear the pain like a heavy coat. I feel
you everywhere I go. See your smile, I see your face. I hear you
laughing in the rain. Still can't believe your gone."
The song is actually about someone that dies too young. It fits
the profile for losing someone after a divorce or break up too.
During the
CMA Awards show held in New York City this year, Kenny Chesney debuted
song number two from the album. It's called "Living in Fast
Forward." It's a song that describes his life. Somedays I feel
like life is in fast forward. You get so busy and days are flying
off the calendar. You ask yourself where did all that time go?
Another
song I would like to highlight is one called "Freedom."
Here's some of the lyrics: "Some say that freedoms the
power do one pleases. You can live like the devil or hold on to
jesus. I found the one thing i was born to do. Girl thats why im
running back to you. Freedom, sweet freedom."
During an
interview, Kenny Chesney recently pointed out that his favorite
song on the new album is one called "Like Me." Here's
some of the lyrics to that song, "Driving down the road
of guilt, the highway that never ends, taking naps in my old car,
singin in guitar bars, killin time at cafe queens, and truckers
playing slot machines, I meet a lot of wannabes dreaming big and
living free like me."
Some of
the other songs on this album include "You Save Me," "Summertime,"
"In a Small Town," "Beer in Mexico," "Tequila
Loves Me," "Somebody Take Me Home," "Brandy,
You're a Fine Girl," "In This Boat Alone," "Flip
Flop Summer" and "Old Bird Dog."
Look for
it in music stores nationwide. Remember, if you buy it at Target
you will get four additional songs free. At Best Buy, you will get
to listen to a 34-minute interview with Kenny Chesney on an additional
CD attached.
