When a reckless employee
reaches into the train and moves the throttle down from neutral
and says he will activate the air brakes when he hops on, naturally,
he fails to hop on as the train increases its speed.
Unstoppable
is rated PG-13 for sequences of action and peril and some language.
It was shot in Pittsburgh and is being distributed by 20th Century
Fox.
This movie is about
a veteran engineer (Denzel Washington) and a young, inexperienced
conductor (Chris Pine) who tries to stop an unmanned runaway train
with a cargo of toxic chemicals going 75 mph thru small towns
and large cities in Pennsylvania.
They are in a separate
locomotive trying to figure out how to stop the train before it
hits a huge curve and derails in Stanton, Pennsylvania.
The action and suspense
was thrilling as you see the loud train with thirty cars pass
each rural town where TV news crew and interested residents wait
with cameras in hand. Rosario Dawson plays Connie the dispatch
operator who keeps the engineer and conductor informed of the
runaway train's whereabouts and shuts down roads as it passes
through towns.
The movie is directed
by Tony Scott and is claimed to be his best movie yet. The film
lasts one hour and a half. I would definitely recommend this movie
as you will sit on the edge of your seat throughout the entire
movie.
