Jennifer
Garner and Ashton Kutcher are two of 18 stars in Valentine's
Day. |
There's no way you
can't like this movie. Valentine's Day features 18 stars
and there is definitely one of your favorites in it. The main
stars are Ashton Kutcher, Julia Roberts, Jessica Alba, Kathy Bates,
Jessica Biel, Bradley Cooper, Eric Dane, Patrick Dempsey, Hector
Elizondo, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Garner, Topher Grace, Anne Hathaway,
Carter Jenkins, George Lopez, Queen Latifah and Taylor Lautner.
Country star Taylor Swift even makes an appearance in the movie.
The premise is simple:
all of the couples and singles in the film find a different way
to celebrate Valentine's Day. The entire film begans and ends
within a 24-hour period on February 14.
Ashton Kutcher stars
as the owner of a flower shop in Los Angeles. As one who has traveled
to L.A., I particularly enjoyed seeing sights of the downtown
area, Bob's Big Boy in Burbank, Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills and
many other places.
The film is a collection
of short love stories. Each couple has about 10 minutes on screen.
It does not follow one single character or protagonist, as most
movies do. It is still very exciting to watch. Jamie Foxx stars
as a local TV sportscaster who was assigned to spend the day covering
romance.
When I went to see
the movie, there was truly a wide range of audiences. There were
kids, teens, adults and senior citizens. Valentine's Day appeals
to everyone because of the huge number of stars in the film.
Valentine's Day is
truly an example of commercialism, which causes people to spend
a lot of money just because of a holiday. Candy makers have capitalized
on this by creating special versions of their candy. Grocery stores,
pharmacies and discount retailers love the holiday because it
means higher profits for them as people get ready to celebrate
with their loved one.
You may want to go
see the movie just to see Twilight: New Moon star Taylor
Lautner, who appears in a love scene with Taylor Swift.
I particularly enjoyed
this film. It is one of those that keeps you on the edge of your
seat to see what happens next.
