The Ford Fireworks To Light Up The Skyline Of Detroit On Monday, June 22

DETROIT — The Ford Fireworks will light up the Detroit skyline on Monday, June 22 at 10:06 p.m., with breathtaking views of the Detroit River in downtown Detroit. Recognized as one of the world’s largest and most magnificent fireworks displays, this popular annual event produced by The Parade Company is a jewel of the city, enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of spectators.

“We are excited to continue our 57 year tradition of bringing this beloved event to our community,” said Tony Michaels, president & CEO, The Parade Company. “We are incredibly grateful for the continued support of Ford Motor Company and our many devoted supporters who help us to make this incredible display bigger and better each year.”

As a longtime supporter of The Parade Company, Ford Motor Company has served as title sponsor of The Ford Fireworks and presenting sponsor of The Parade Company’s Rooftop Party during The Ford Fireworks since 2013. Ford’s partnership with The Parade Company also includes title sponsorship of one of Detroit’s premier events, Hob Nobble Gobble at Ford Field and is the official vehicle of America’s Thanksgiving Parade® presented by Art Van.

“As part of our strong commitment to the community, Ford is proud to work with The Parade Company in bringing Detroiters and others from southeast Michigan this much anticipated summer event,” said Jim Vella, president, Ford Motor Company Fund and Community Services. “It is always a thrill to come together to mark this memorable and internationally recognized fireworks display in our great city.”

Ford will also be hosting Focus on Freedom at the Ford Fireworks for the second year. Working with the Yankee Air Museum, the event honors more than 250 active and retired military veterans and their families with a reception and up-close view of this year’s fireworks.

As producers of The Ford Fireworks, The Parade Company selects the musical arrangement that Zambelli Fireworks Internationale will stage with more than 10,000 pyrotechnic effects visible for miles along the Detroit River. This year’s show themed “Colors of Love,” will be choreographed again by the world-renowned Patrick Brault who has years of experience designing pyrotechnic displays including the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

As one of The Parade Company’s largest and most popular fundraisers of the year, The Ford Fireworks Rooftop Party offers the best seats in the city to view the fireworks. Guests attending the event will experience live music by Detroit’s own Fifty Amp Fuse, food by Andiamo, games, giveaways and more for adults and kids alike.
