PHOTOS: What’s New in the D (Detroit) — Part Two

AmericaJR.com’s Gloria and Jerome Rzucidlo were LIVE in downtown Detroit for a look at what’s new and exciting in the Motor City. We’ll start with the new Detroit Water Ice dessert shop, which replaces Ben & Jerry’s on the first floor of the Compuware Building. Then, we’ll take a look at lunchtime at Campus Martius Park. Boy, has it changed! Food trucks galore, a basketball court and live entertainment make up some of the new activities there. Next, we’ll head to Cobo Center where the new digital video display has just been completed. The screen is 160 feet by 30 feet and covers 4,800 square feet of the east façade facing East Jefferson. Finally, we’ll wrap up at the Renaissance Center, where two new restaurants will be opening soon — Granite City Food & Brewery and Panera Bread. It’s an exciting time to be in downtown Detroit!
