Thousands join in celebration of U-M’s Nike Launch at The M Den on State Street

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Sunday night on Ann Arbor’s State Street rang in the season-opening month of August with the debut of apparel representing the Michigan Wolverines’ newest marketing partner: Nike Air Jordan.

Throughout an evening that culminated with the M Den’s doors opening to the public at midnight for the new clothing line products, Wolverine notables took to an elevated stage to address both the collaboration and upcoming season.

Engaging the audience on anticipated sea change were Head Coach Jim Harbaugh, past team greats LaMarr Woodley and Desmond Howard, who would segue into a promo video detailing the background and intentions of the Air Jordan line, and representative players of Team 137 on hand to rouse the crowd with small talk and selfie ops.

The queue to entering the M Den store would require wrist identification, with the line appearing to span as far back as Monroe Street.
