Holy Wednesday Teaser Trailer! It’s ‘Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders’ starring Adam West and Burt Ward!

This fall, Adam West and Burt Ward are back with a “POW!” as Gotham City’s famed Dynamic Duo in the animated feature entitled Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders.  To be released October 11 on Digital HD and November 1 on Blu-Ray Combo Pack, the film will have Batman & Robin living up their name as fearless, heroic crime-fighters on Earth as well as in space.

“Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders” also features Julie Newmar reprising her role as Catwoman, who shares ongoing sexual tension with Batman, who first brought grade-A Adam West in the role as ABC’s “Batman” from 1966 to 1968.  Throughout 120 episodes, Batman and Robin helped Commissioner Gordon, Chief O’Hara, and the entire Gotham City police department uphold law and order, and justice against the colorful rogue gallery of super-villains that includes the Joker (Cesar Romero), the Penguin (Burgess Meredith), Mr. Freeze, the Riddler (Edward Gorshin), King Tut, Shame, and Catwoman.  Later on, the Dynamic Duo became the Terrific Trio with the addition of Yvonne Craig joining the good fight against evildoers as Batgirl.

Newmar, who turned 83 on Tuesday, was purr-fect for two of those three seasons as Catwoman: displaying HER knowledge in her attempts to seduce Batman, who displays HIS knowledge (even at the home of the Green Hornet, no less!) – in resisting the feminine wiles of this felonious feline as a masked deputy of the GCPD.

Wednesday marks the one-year anniversary of Craig’s passing.  The actress, who joined Batman” in the final season as Batgirl, died of complications from breast cancer that spread to her liver.  The cable network Decades TV pays tribute to Craig with several episodes of Batman, who was inspired and influenced by a bold renegade: the greatest – and luckiest – swordsman of all time, the midnight rider known as Zorro

As Batman, Adam West is part of ABC’s masks of justice alongside Clayton Moore and John Hart as The Lone Ranger, Guy Williams as Zorro, and Van Williams as The Green Hornet.”  Reruns of Batman” airs every Sci-Fi Saturday night on Me-TV.
