Wild Wednesday: Marvel’s ‘Runaways’ picked up for a second season

Things may get hostile for Marvel’s “Runaways” in Tuesday’s finale, but fans won’t need to get hostile, as Hulu renewed the freshman teenage superhero series for a second season.

Like last year’s big-screen “Power Rangers”, Marvel’s “Runaways” are the breakfast club of superheroes that began with the reunion of six teenagers (Alex, Nico, Chase, Karolina, Gert, and Molly).  Divided since the death of a best friend, they slowly presented a united front when they discovered that their parents are actually evil: the founding members of a kingdom known as the PRIDE.  Undergoing the superhero metamorphosis, they are on a mission to bring their parents to justice: embracing their destiny as the Runaways, avenging the kids they couldn’t save.

Each new episode of Marvel’s “Runaways” came out on Tuesdays, the superhero night of CW’s “The Flash” and DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow”.  Not only that, Tuesdays also once belonged to Marvel’s “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” (now airing on Fridays) on ABC and CW’s “Smallville”, the series that followed young Clark Kent (Tom Welling) undergoing his own superhero metamorphosis: becoming the Man of Steel called Superman, a beacon of hope who will rise to become a symbol of peace, a shield for truth, justice and the American Way.

You can rewind with Marvel’s Runaways from the beginning on Hulu.
