AmericaJR’s Jason Rzucidlo reports from the historic Masonic Temple in Detroit for the 2018 SAE Foundation annual celebration. In this gallery, look for photos of area students displaying their creations from SAE’s “A World in Motion” program. Their K-8 STEM education solution – AWIM – is a teacher-administered, industry volunteer-assisted program that brings science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education to life in the classroom for students in Kindergarten through Grade 8. Meanwhile, SAE International’s Collegiate Design Series (CDS) competitions take students beyond textbook theory by enabling them to design, build, and test the performance of a real vehicle and then compete with other students from around the globe in exciting and intense competitions.
