AmericaJR’s Jason Rzucidlo reports from the University of Michigan campus for the 35th annual Ann Arbor Summer Festival. In this gallery, you’ll see photos from Sunday, July 2, 2018. Amy Petty’s sound is a compelling, complex, and original soundscape that weaves a lush tapestry of folk, pop, rock, and blues ballad. A Detroit-based artist often compared to Eva Cassidy and Jonatha Brooke, she has performed for the past 15 years, and shared stages with Sarah McLachlan, Jewel, and Suzanne Vega. Local seasoned performer Dave Boutette blends many schools of American roots and popular music, including folk, blues, swing, and old time country. Last year he put out his fifth solo EP, 1st Rate Companion. He’s joined by Kristi Lynn Davis for this duo acoustic set in the Grove!
