Solar lights form the shape of Nevada with a heart inside (Jason Rzucidlo/AmericaJR)

AmericaJR’s Jason Rzucidlo recently visited Black Mountain in Henderson, Nevada. In an inspirational act of kindness, local attorney David Koch and his 18-year-old son, Mason, hiked up Black  Mountain on April 17 to place the lights as a show of support for their community. the lights are in the shape of Nevada with a heart inside. Thousands of people have seen these lights and they continue to provide hope for many as they glimmer each night.

The Bureau of Land Management has said the solar lights can remain in place through mid-May. However, a petition is gaining steam to keep the lights in place a lot longer. Here’s a link to sign: https://www.change.org/p/lvfoweb-blm-gov-keep-the-lights-in-the-shape-of-nevada-on-black-mountain
