
AmericaJR’s Jason Rzucidlo recently visited the Powerhouse Visitor Center along historic Route 66 in Kingman, Arizona. It is home of the World’s First Electric Vehicle Museum. There are a total of 29 electric vehicles on display–26 on the inside and three in the parking lot inside. The entire collection spans more than 100 years of EV history from 1909 to 2013. The museum receives over 50,000 visitors annually. It is a partnership between the city of Kingman, Mohave County and the Historic Electric Vehicle Foundation.

It features a driving range of 40-50 miles per charge This yellow 1929 Ford Roadster was converted into an electric vehicle by Wilde Evolutions in 1995. It is considered the “World’s First All-Electric Hot Rod” The Lightning Rod 2 was featured in the September 1995 issue of Street Rod Action magazine. 2002 Toyota RAV4 electric SUV “Gone Postal” electric mail delivery truck Formula Lightning Indy-style race car from Arizona State University The electric race car won awards at races in Phoenix, Cleveland, Richmond and others.
