This is one of the closest places that Nevadans can visit to purchase a lottery ticket since Nevada does not participate in lottery. Hundreds of people waited in line for an hour or more for the chance to purchase Powerball and Mega Millions lotto tickets. The jackpots for both multi-state lotteries are currently over $400 million. The Lotto Store is about 45 miles south of Las Vegas and 51 miles north of Baker, California.
