Walworth, Wis — Mecum Auctions, the world’s largest collector car auction company, will return to the Las Vegas Convention Center for its fifth annual collector car auction at the venue this Oct. 7-9 with an estimated 1,000 American muscle cars, classics, Corvettes, exotics, trucks, Hot Rods, customs and more to cross the auction block. The auction is the first of three to be held by Mecum on back-to-back weekends throughout the month of October in what’s been dubbed the October Takeover; the two auctions to follow will be held in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and the Chicago region.

Among the featured lots slated to cross the auction block in Las Vegas is a trio of stunning beauties in black: a 1959 Chevrolet Impala (Lot S126) with a rare Rochester fuel-injection system on a 283/290 HP solid-lifter Ram Jet V-8 engine and a T10 4-speed transmission, a triple-black 1966 Pontiac GTO Convertible (Lot S110) with an original 389/360 HP Tri-power V-8 engine and original 4-speed manual transmission, and a rust-free, triple-black 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS (Lot F83) with a 427/500 HP GM crate engine and a Richmond 4-speed transmission.

The Pacific Northwest Collection at No Reserve includes a wide-ranging selection of a dozen classic vehicles including a pair of wild custom builds: a 1932 Ford Custom Coupe (Lot F74) known as Mud-Usa and featuring a blown 468 CI V-8 engine, and a custom Rat Rod Dually 1940 International (Lot F75) with a blown dual-quad Hemi V-8 engine dubbed Mr. Hookenstein. Also in the group are a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air (Lot F72) with a 282 CI engine and automatic transmission and three Impalas including a Jet Blue 1961 Chevrolet Impala Bubble Top (Lot F77) with a 282 CI V-8 engine, a Powerglide transmission and factory-optioned power steering and power brakes.
