Test drive of the new Chevrolet Volt electric vehicle with interview

Jason Rzucidlo takes you on a test drive of the all new Chevrolet
Volt electric vehicle. The first Volts will be launched in seven
key markets such as California and New York. The Volt will be coming
to dealers in Michigan sometime around the spring. It will have
an estimated driving range of about 350 miles. The price tag is
around $41,000 with a $7,500 federal rebate bringing it down to
about $33,500. Look for an interview with Britta Gross, GM's Director
of Global Energy System and Infrastructure Commercialization (GESIC).

Conference at the GM Renaissance Center in downtown Detroit. Michigan
Governor Jennifer Granholm checked out some of the electric vehicles
in the parking lot just outside the RenCen on Tuesday afternoon.
She test drove the Chevrolet Volt, Nissan LEAF and the Ford Transit
Connect. Granholm also looked at some of the charging stations for
the electric vehicles of the future.

Jason Rzucidlo takes you on a test drive of the all new Nissan LEAF
electric vehicle. The LEAF has an estimated driving range of 100
miles per charge. It can be charged with a 110-volt outlet, a 220-volt
outlet or a fast charge at a gas station or other commercial location.
The LEAF will go on sale at $32,780 and after a $7,500 tax credit,
it will go down to $25,280. Look for an interview with Brian Verprauskus,
Nissan's Senior Manager of Corporate Planning.

Governor Jennifer Granholm addressed the media after test driving
some of the electric vehicles at the conference. DTE Energy Chairman
and CEO Tony Earley Jr. spoke at the conference's welcome reception
on Tuesday evening. Both discussed the new electric vehicles that
are coming to the market.

unveiled on Tuesday afternoon. It is located on the circular drive
in front of the main entrance to the GM Renaissance Center. GM said
hundreds of its dealers, factories and offices will have charging
stations for its employees to use at no cost. Watch for remarks
