Arena in downtown Detroit. Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder (R) was named
Crain's Newsmaker of the Year. Keith Crain, Editor-in-Chief of Crain's
Detroit Business, welcomed Snyder to the stage. Snyder offered
a preview of what he was going to cut in the new state budget, which
is expected to be released on Thursday. He said that citizens should
sacrifice a little to help the state get balanced.
