The Detroit Historical Museum celebrates Detroit's 310th Birthday
with free admission and special events
The
city of Detroit was founded on July 24, 1701. The Detroit Historical
Museum is celebrating that 310th birthday with free admission, extended
hours and special activities all week long. Hurry, it all ends on
July 31 at 5 p.m. AmericaJR.com's Jason Rzucidlo reports from inside
the museum. He spoke with Bob Sadler, the museum's director of public
relations and external affairs. You'll also hear from attendees,
Sharon and Jim Winne from Washington Twp., MI and their grandson
Steven. The museum has raised $10.6 million out of its $20.1 million
Past Forward Campaign.
