If you like Propel water, try ActivWater and Twist Organics
ActivWater sent us five samples of its new flavored waters, two of which were organic flavors. It is a new line of water that is set to compete with Propel and others on the market now. If you are looking for a new drink to take with you to the gym or for your walk around the park, this is the one you should pick up. I sampled five flavors: dragon fruit, lemon-lime, orange mango, mango acai and west indes lime. All five of the drinks I tried have 25 calories or less.
ActivWater will replenish your electrolytes and vitamins that are lost during exercise. It will supplement your antioxide intake of vitamin C and calcium. Each bottle has 100 percent of natural ingredients for energy.
The dragon fruit flavor is designed for "focus." It has 25 mg. of ginkgo biloba and 25 mg. of gotu kola. This flavor takes like regular water with a little bit of pineapple juice mixed in. Gotu kola is a small herb plant that is said to be antibacterial, anti-viral, a circulatory stimulant and a diuretic. Ginkgo biloba is a unique species of tree is said to help increase your memory and your attention level.
The lemon-lime flavor is designed for "essential E." It has 60 mg. of green tea included. This flavor tastes like a watered-down lemonade drink. Green tea may help with stopping Alzheimer's or Parkinson's disease, preventing and treating cancer and treating multiple sclerosis.
The orange mango flavor is designed to help you "wake up." It has 40 mg. of caffeine and 40 mg. of green tea. It tastes like a watered-down orange juice. Don't drink this late at night because the caffeeine will keep you up.
The mango acai flavor of the Twist Organics line has 10 calories. It tastes like regular water -- the mango acai is unnoticeable.
The west indes lime flavor of the Twist Organics line also has 10 calories. It tastes like regular water with a touch of lime.
The samples I received came in 19 oz. bottles. In the northwest, 20 oz. bottles are available in four flavors: Satsuma tangerine, Dragon fruit, Strawberry kiwi and Pomegranate berry. Each bottle is priced around $2 each, depending on where it is purchased. It is a little more expensive than soda pop, but remember that it is a healthy drink that's good for you.
The next time you are working out, grab some ActivWater or Twist Organics. You'll be glad you did.
