BLUE
MOUNDS, Wis. -- The 4th annual Christmas Carol concert
recently took place at the Cave of the Mounds last weekend (December
3-5) with professional groups singing holiday songs a cappella like
MadFusion and greenTONE , where the proceeds goes to Leukemia and
Lymphona Society and Olbrich Botanical Society.
"As
if caves weren't magical enough, bringing music into the cave adds
an element that highlights the wonderful acoustics that all caves
naturally have, " states general manager Ann Wescott. "The
acoustics are very unique, so caves are used for events. We decided
it'd be a great opportunity."
Besides
the concert, there were activities that included free crafts with
kids and a visit from Mr. Saint Nick himself. "People are busy
and shopping, so we thought it'd work better in the first week of
December" said Ann.
Hours at
the Cave of the Mounds will be extended through the Christmas break
and New Year's; more can be found online at www.caveofthemounds.com.
