LANSING, Mich. -- The 2010 Common Ground Music Festival wrapped up on Sunday at Adado Riverfront Park in downtown Lansing. Overall, attendance was down a few thousand from last year's festival. However, a new one-day record of 14,000 people was set on Saturday when Ludacris and Three 6 Mafia performed on the Capital Regional International Airport Stage.

Festival spokesperson Malinda Barr told WILX-TV: "Slightly down, as most festivals are seeing across the country, and across the state- some have even closed. But, i think we're fairing nicely. Minor arrests, they are generally escorted out and by the time they are escorted out, there is no need to arrest."

The new casino riverboat was also full to capacity with only standing room available at most times during the festival. It featured Texas Hold-Em tables and other games. Attendees were able to watch the concerts from the top level of the boat.

"I came here last year, but that's because it was the first year that I moved to Lansing, " said Andy Seguin of Holt, Mich. "Ludacris, obviously, that's everyone's favorite. I have the week-long pass. I'm just going to come here and have a fun time."

This year's headliners were Buckcherry, Adam Lambert, Sammy Hagar, Bret Michaels, Alice Cooper, Ludacris and the Lansing Symphony Orchestra. Other performers on the main stage were Drowning Pool, Jackyl, Allison Iraheta, Orianthi, Trevor Hall, Cinderella, TESLA, Three 6 Mafia, Gregg Rolie and The Machine.

The Pearle Vision stage featured newer acts like Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, the Max Weinberg Big Band, Rebirth Brass Band, Jimmy Cliff and Civil Twilight. Other performers on the second stage were Neon Trees, Cavo, Sick Puppies, Hoobastank, Mindi Abair, Peter White and Matt Giraud.

"This is my third time," said Meghan West of St. Johns, Mich. "Drowning Pool and Buckcherry are the two big ones. Last year, we went and got the elephant ears, which were good. But that's it. My boyfriend is doing the golfing. He's gotten in it the past two years so hopefully, he gets in it again. They have to get it across the river and hopefully, a hole-in-one back there."

Restaurants in this year's festival were BD's Mongolian Barbecue, Blimpie's Dan's Butts & Beans, Desgrandes Popcorn Wagon, Greek Tavern, Franzee French Fries, Maria's Tacos, Melting Moments, Baja Smoothies and Bailey's Concessions.

"I came a couple of years ago," said Christina Alexander of Lansing, Mich. who was also the festival this year. "The food is really good. You can get pretty much anything. I got chicken with rice. The prices are about the same as any festival. They are a little bit higher, but not bad."

Tickets to this year's festival were $32 each day or $11 for the final day. A special week-long pass was available for $99. Uncommon Club Single-Day Tickets that allowed access to the members-only private areas of the festival near both stages, table and chair seating, complimentary hors d'oeuvresreduced drink prices, wait staff service, exclusive restrooms, special Festival entrance, and preferred parking were available for $125 each day.

"I've been going here for a couple of years now," said Trevor Tichvon of Portland, Mich. "Definitely Drowning Pool, saw them a couple of years ago and really liked their show. Definitely Alice Cooper and those guys, some of the rock ones."

The Common Ground Festival requires about 10 days to set up everything. It takes about two and a half days for everything to be completely dissassembled. Streets near the festival are expected to be re-opened by Tuesday.

Plans for next year's Common Ground Festival will begin in just a few days.
